Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Monster is an 11 year old Shih Tzu. I rescued him from an animal shelter in Long Island, NY when he was just 6 weeks old and have cared for him ever since. He is an extremely loving dog to those he is close with. I wish I could keep him forever, but unfortunately my current family situation is no longer going to allow that.
I have a 2 yr old boy, with another baby due any moment. Monster, as some Shih Tzu's are, can be temperamental. He has never bit my son, but does not have as much patience as other dogs when my son is grabbing his tail, poking him, or generally doing things that any 2 year old might do to a dog. My wife and I have been able to keep the two relatively peaceful with each other, but with another youngster on the way, I feel as though Monster will continue to have negative interactions with them and we will be unable to police the situation.
Monster deserves a quiet home where he can sit on your lap (which he loves) and be your buddy.
