My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

On April 6, 2017, a family with two young children called the shelter looking for a place to surrender their young male beagle to get him off the premises immediately.  Their female beagle had come in heat earlier than they expected, and the mom couldn't wrangle their two small kids and keep the beagles apart. ARF took Dale into their program because he is a young dog who could have ended up in bad circumstances if they had given him to the first person who would take him.  Dale is a little shy until he gets to know a person and trust them.  He has become used to the workers in his boarding facility, and with them he does fine. He wags his tail and walks on the leash to go outside for potty breaks.  With strangers, he gets nervous and wants to back away.  Dale is 8-9 months old now and has always been an outside dog.  Dale's records show that he had DHPP shots on 8/8/16, 9/29/16/ and 10/15/16.  He had a DHLP shot on 11/5/16.  He received a Duramune  Max 5  from ARF on 4/19/2017. He was dewormed every two weeks until he was three months old. Dale will need a little training to make him more social, but he likes petting and wants to please.  He likes treats and praise, too, so either reward would be good for him. His coloring is beautiful with his copper nose and chestnut and white hair. Dale has a sweet nature and will be a devoted family member for some lucky family for years to come!
