My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Moses is a 3-year-old neutered male black lab. Moses weighs 72 pounds and is up to date on shots. This dog is approved for homes with children ages 10 and up.

This dog is from a rural area and has not been exposed to traffic, noise, or groups of people. For now we are limiting placement to a standalone, single family home in a suburban neighborhood or rural area.
As we learn more about the dog's time spent in foster care, we will evaluate if placement can be
expanded to include a more urban environment.

Updates: May 7, 2017: Moses and Jack slept soundly through the night and waited until their foster mom woke up to shower her with kisses. They loved visiting with everyone at the adoption event but did not find their humans. They wagged and kissed all visitors and got great reviews for good looks and good manners!

May 6, 2017: Moses and Jack are very sweet dogs. They love to give kisses and are very waggy! They enjoy walking and are easy on leash. In the house they are very calm and like to nap near you and/or snuggled together. They don't seem interested in toys or fetch. I invited them up on my bed and they were delighted to have a chance to kiss me and kiss me more! Very loving! They are cautious with new people or noisy equipment when out on the street in this busy suburban area with small lots.

Mo (Moses) & Jack are great dogs and some family is going to be very lucky when they adopt them. They look very much alike, to tell them apart remember Moses has white patch on his chest, he has a slightly narrower head and the color his right eye is darker than left. Mo cleans Jacks ears, he has black collar with white stars & red buckle collar. Jack is easier going and stays closer than Mo. He has a green collar. They like to be with you and are affectionate, when they want affection Jack will come sit by your side and Mo will put your hand very gently in his mouth. Moses loves toys more than Jack, They are very social and lovable with people they know. A little wary of stranger and new dogs until introduced, then they want to be with the group. They would play in their fenced yard & lay on the deck, if it's a nice day. They had a large horse watering trough which they used as a swimming pool if they wanted to cool off. They come from the country and love to run in the fields and play in the stream and lake. They get the "zoomies" and run full speed and don't always watch where they are going. They would like a family that will be able to give them the exercise and attention they need to thrive. They need a fence yard as they are used to going off in the fields and are not used to suburban life and traffic.
Kids 10 and up, have been round nieces and nephews but never live with any. Good with other dogs lived with Molly a Pomeranian but they do not like little dogs jumping in their face. Good with cats, lived with one. Know commands: Sit down, stay, let's go in the house, jump in the truck, no, good boys. When they are excited, "settle down" calms them. When you want them both call " MOJACK" (Mo & Jack). Come on boys (they know they are the boys). Pull on lead as they haven't been on one much. Should be good with easy walk as they want to please. House and crate trained. Slept on dog bed in the dining room. Were crated if owner was going to be gone for several hours (more that 2-3). They do not like thunderstorms & lightning, will come to be with you then go to sleep. Will hide by bed if owner not home.

Moses is Lyme & Ehrlichia Positive and is on Doxycycline to cure it.

Jack and Moses will require a fenced yard
