Bentley's Story...
Yeah…having me for a pet is kind of like driving around in a Bentley. People will watch with admiration as we walk proudly down the street. And my adoption fee is a little less than $200,000! But you still get all the luxury and comfort. I’ll make you feel like a million bucks! I get along with gentle kids 5+, and other dogs and cats, too. Gosh, I love just about everybody! I’m past the puppy nonsense, but I am a German Shepherd/Border Collie, though, so I’m still a bit of a “sports car”…but nothing that plenty of playtime, exercise, and ongoing training won’t take care of. And gosh, I love to adventure…hiking, camping, strolls around the neighborhood, trips to the beach…you name, I’m game! Rumor has it I’m already housebroken, I am beautifully crate trained, and I know a command or two as well! I’m a very, very sweet and sensitive boy, and it’d be a luxury to be your new pet. 3½ years old-50lbs. My adoption fee is $180 and includes neuter, microchip & registration, 1 month pet health insurance, reduced-cost training class, free vet exam, leash/collar, toy & treat packet, food sample.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Bentley, a Portland German Shepherd Dog/Border Collie dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a German Shepherd Dog/Border Collie for sale in Portland, or seeking a German Shepherd Dog/Border Collie dog from a breeder in Portland.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Portland already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Portland breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even German Shepherd Dog/Border Collie breeders who help with German Shepherd Dog/Border Collie rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Portland paves the way for another one to be saved.
