My story

*Please read through the full bio. Instructions on how to visit are included at the end*
My name is CHICO! I'm a 12-year-old, 15-pound, tan and white Chihuahua. I was adopted from The Ark in 2011. My human passed away, my home was sold, and I moved. I have had a hard time adjusting to losing my family. I am back at The Ark hoping to find a home with the experience and patience to give me a fresh start. I only like my special toy but I love to play! I am wary of strangers and it takes me a while to get used to new people. You may consider volunteering with us so I have a better time trusting you. I really trust the people that take care of me. I have received comprehensive vetting: Veterinary Physical and Dental examinations, Veterinarian administered vaccinations, fecal analysis, de-worming, flea/tick/heartworm prevention. I was neutered while at The Ark in 2011. My adoption fee is $120 to help offset vetting costs. will need an experienced adopter, and no children in my new home. I was housebroken, but with all the confusion in my recent life need some retraining. I get along with most dogs and cats. I do not work well with kids. If you are interested, see you soon!
***NOTE: CHICO CAN BE VISITED BY CALLING OUR MAIN NUMBER, 423.472.2744, and scheduling an appointment. If no one answers please leave a message and a volunteer will get back to you. Please be patient with our return call. As website volunteers do not have access to the appt schedule call the number provided. We require TWO full visits, though we will ask for more IF needed. Visits will be thirty minutes to an hour each. We do not adopt 2 hours outside of our area. ***
