Here's what the humans have to say about me:
We found Peanut in our neighborhood while walking to dinner about a year ago. She was dirty and craved attention, although she was a little skittish. After sitting with her for a while, she started kneading my leg, which is how we discovered she had no claws! We knew she shouldn't be outside so we promptly scooped her up (much to her dismay) and took her to the vet to see if she was microchipped. She wasn't, and after a big search we were unable to find her previous owner. She was very afraid and hid in our closet for a month. When she finally did come out, she was the sweetest little cat, and we could tell she loved her quiet little home. She loves being perched in a cozy seat near the window where she can watch the birds. She is still very shy and needs a home without any other animals or children to flourish. She is unhappy with us because she gets bullied by our other cat, and sometimes pees outside the litterbox as a result of the territorial dynamics of having more than one pet. Essentially, she will get super submissive with our other cat and not use the shared litterboxes when he is around. When we are able to separate them, she has no problem using the litterbox consistently. We hadn't had any issues for a while, but recently rescued a dog and I think the stress of that has gotten to her, and we think it might be time for Peanut to find a forever home where she is the only pet. We really believe she would be the perfect cat - as an only cat! We will only adopt her to the right home, because we love her very much and want to make sure it is a good fit. She is a wonderful loving cat, if you have the patience to develop a trusting bond with her.
