My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Our sweet boy Sam is ready to start looking for a REAL HOME.
One that consists of a family who will appreciate him and love him with all of their hearts. He has had a rough life so far after living on the side of the road for weeks. He didnt leave his spot....waiting every day for his human to come back. Passerbyers would toss him food here and there...but no one really bothered to stop to take in this dog whos soul had been broken....
That is until a couple weeks ago...hes rescuer, who Sam is named after, made the drive out to Stockton to see if maybe he could help get this dog to safety and sure enough...like every other day before...this handsome pup was there sitting in the same spot on the same street...waiting for someone to come get him.
We got him into the vet and overall, this 75lb stud muffin was relatively healthy. He did end up having an issue with his prostate, but after neutering him, it appears that that problem is now solved. We went ahead and had all his shots done, we dewormed him and gave him his flea treatment. And of course...he got a microchip too..so he can always now have a way to find his way back home.
We believe Sam is approx 3-4 years old. He has an old soul and is a thinker. He is mellow and very chill...and appears to enjoy taking the slow lane in life. He gets along well with female dogs..and we will be doing introductions to dogs of all sizes and sex soon. He would do best in a quieter home where he can lay around and be with his humans...maybe go out for a walk in the evenings....long enough to pause and smell the flowers. He really doesnt ask for much...hes easy to take care of and really deserves to have the love and security that comes with having a family.
If you think Sam would be a good fit in your home, please send us a message and we can set up a day and a time for you to meet him. He is currently being fostered in Tracy, CA
