My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Izzy! Despite having a rough few years this guy has an infectious smile and warm brown eyes that will warm your heart. Izzy has been bounced through a couple homes over the past few years. Though no fault of his own, he's had to endure the uncertainty these changes bring which has left him confused and a little stressed. We're seeing gradual improvement in his foster home and we're optimistic that will continue. Unfortunately, Izzy has also had to cope with a seizure disorder that was left untreated in his previous home. We wasted no time in having him evaluated by our vet. Aside from being a bit too "fluffy" (he needs some exercise!) and the seizure disorder he's in good health. We started him on a very inexpensive medication which seems to be working. No seizures!
Izzy loves and craves human attention and isn't always willing to share his humans with his canine foster siblings. For this reason, we feel he'll do best being an only dog. He enjoys playing with his squeaky toys and will be great company for someone willing to commit to continuing his medication and making sure he gets the periodic veterinary care that he will need. A patient, dog savvy home with no children will be what we're looking for. Be sure to watch his progress on our Facebook page!

We provide adoptions to those living within a 100 mile radius of our suburban Philadelphia office. You will find our adoption application and information regarding our adoption process on our website (www.arcticspiritrescue.org). If you feel your home offers the requirements for a dog you're interested in please complete an application. When we receive it we will contact you. Please be sure to read each dog's profile carefully to be sure you're able to offer the home it requires.
