Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Shasha came into the family about 3.5 years ago when my sister in law adopted her; at the time she was being abused by her owner and then surrendered to a shelter where the sister in law heard about her. She felt bad, because the dog was older and might be put down. She adopted her knowing that she had two other dogs and a cat. They live in Southern Illinois and the fleas and ticks are awful. Her house is very tiny, and the dog is too much for her. She cant afford to take her to the vet to get the treatment that she needs and when other forms of flea removal are used, they work for a couple days and back to the beginning. The dog is about 90 lbs and cant be lifted into the bathtub; she hates to get wet so therefore has a difficult time with bathing. She was adopted with an ear allergy issue and therefore has issues with her one ear. But that does not stop this dog from being happy and soaking up all the love that someone can give. The dog is kind, sweet and gets along with her housemates, 3 other dogs and now two outside/inside cats; not sure on children, since she has not been around them, but with her disposition, I think she would be great. She loves to be pet and brushed; she loves when I come to visit, because she is spoiled when I get there. The dog is paper trained for when owner is not available to take her out, as well as outside trained on leash or fenced in yard only. Wonderful, wonderful, senior dog. If I had a house of my own, I would take her to live out the last couple years in a non flea stressed environment.
