Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Call me Padre, but I’m no father. I had the BIG operation! I was born around May 10, 2010 and currently weigh in at 5 lbs 11 oz. I’m one of the little guys who needs a bit of extra help. When I lived in my other home, I injured a disc in my back. Got a pinched nerve that acts up from time to time. Steps help me so I can get on the couch. I also need someone to remember not to let me jump off furniture! Yikes!! Hm… as long as I’m yippin’, I got a tell you that I need someone to keep up on my dental work annually. You probably want to know why I’m in foster care. It’s like this. I was a “free” adoption. Life was good. I loved walking and being active, but something happened and yeah, I got that back injury, so my human returned me to the animal care center. Because I had this problem, they wanted to do me in. My foster, Angela, said “No way. Not gonna happen”. So, she took me home with her. After taking some Prednisone, I got better. I’m a good fella. I sleep in my kennel which means I’m crate trained. I just figured out how to use a doggy door, and I am house trained, so no worries. Walking is good for me, and I love it, even walking in the mountains feels great. It doesn’t hurt my back. I get along with everyone! I think I might even be okay with cats. Call me for dinner. I’ll be there. I like to eat, play with other dogs, and cuddle. I really love going places. When I hear my foster mom jangle her car keys, I run for the door. I’m a Chi on the go… so come on…let’s go to your home. I can be your boy. You can be my human. Padre is up to date on all vaccines, microchipped and neutered. Please email Angela (areeves13@hotmail.com) for information about Padre or visit www.azchihuahuarescue.org
