Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Update: Julie is making leaps and bounds at her foster home (not literally she hasn't escaped yet). Julie has come out of her shell and is quite the character. She is a cute and goofy girl who flounces around her foster home and plays with her toys and foster brother. Julie loves her stuffed toys and carries them around everywhere with her. When she is out at the park she is almost a perfect lady on the leash. She has learned so quickly to not pull on the leash and to follow her human's directions. This girl needs a home who will appreciate her for her shy and extremely smart self. Do you have a home for her? She needs help to find a forever home that is ready for a lot of fun for just a little bit of reassurance. Julie, or Jules, is a sweetheart of a 2yr old dog. Julie the Dane is a Nervous Nelly in new situations (like a lot of large dogs). Jules is in need of a home with a strong supportive leader in it. She is very comfortable when her boundaries are established and she knows someone is there to take care of her and show her what is right and what is wrong. She absolutely loves to lean on her foster mom and throws her stuffed animals around while she plays with you. Once she bonds with her people she is a sweetheart and seeks out love and affection at every chance. Julie can and will sail easily over a 5-6 foot fence when frightened and will chew through a leather/nylon leash in 2 seconds when scared. If you are not prepared to keep Jules leash bound and take her for walks daily or do not have a very large fence (or a very long run) then she is not the dog for you. Julie has had some issues with female dogs in her former home but has not shown any issues towards her foster brother. I will be recommending that she goes to a home with male dogs or Jules should be an only child. www.rainbowrescues.orgMay 9, 2024, 6:27 am
