My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Bruiser is our very nervous 1.5 year old boy who needs a loving home.  Bruiser came in with his mother and brother (Eddy) and had no real experience being handled by or even being near humans.  He slipped away from his foster home a short while ago and was found several days later very shaken and very skinny.  This boy has had a rough beginning to his life but he is ready to move on and find a furever home.  Bruiser is working well in his foster home and is starting to tolerate and almost like being handled and walked on a leash (it helps that he is very food motivated).  Bruiser is learning that affection can be a good thing and really loves snuggling with some of his foster brothers and sisters.  Bruiser will need an understanding home that will continue to work with him on his trust in people and his surroundings and who won’t mind waiting for his trust to build.  We suggest Bruiser go to a home with no kids or with older kids who will not move too quickly and scare him.  Bruiser is in a home with other dogs right now and does very well with the female dogs of the pack but is wary of new male dogs at first.  Would you be interested in giving this boy the loving home he deserves? Note: Please fill out an application and a volunteer will contact you within 1-2 business days.  We do not have a central office facility, all of our pets are housed in foster homes until they are adopted.  Your first step in adopting a furry friend is to go to our website www.rainbowrescues.org and fill out an application.
