My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Location: Enola, PA

Phoebe is a beautiful 2 year old cat looking for a loving, calm home. Phoebe was recently diagnosed with Feline Idiopathic Cystitis. The condition is treatable but can be influenced by environmental factors. Phoebe currently lives with a family with young, active children. They can often be away for sporting events and travel. This seems to trigger flare ups of Phoebe’s cystitis. Her family believes she would do better in a home that is calmer, where the family is home more often, and that doesn’t have as much activity, such as children coming and going and a lot of loud noises.

Generally, Phoebe is easy going. She has lived with children ages 5 and up since she was a kitten. She tolerates them pretty well. Sometimes she plays too rough or will give a soft bite to warn them to go away but has never maliciously bitten anyone. Her family really thinks that her condition is related to not wanting to be on her own, and the hectic environment that can occur when the kids are home.

Phoebe was born under a neighbor’s shed and rescued by her current family. She has had routine vet care and is current on all of her vaccines. She is spayed and declawed.
