Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Adopted Teddy at 8 weeks old in August 2014.
Told he was a lab and cocker spaniel mix. He looks like a 40 pound fit/thin yellow lab.
Playful and loving dog.
Attached to his owner.
Accustomed to walks on leash and off leash with electronic collar in fields.
Accustomed to weekly doggy day care of free running on a farm with other dogs.
Commands: sit, down, paw or shake, off, leave it, stay, wait
Loves sitting on back porch and laying in the sun.
We recently had a baby and can't keep Teddy anymore.
Behavioral issues: (full disclosure)
Food aggression. Teddy has demonstrated food aggression when he gets corrected after finding something tasty in the garbage or elsewhere that is not meant for him. Will try to counter surf and snatch human food. Teddy bit one guest April of 2016 when he was quickly corrected by the guest for trying to eat chicken off the counter during a gathering in our home.
Resource aggression. Teddy has demonstrated resource aggression with his tennis ball when in the house. The ball is only allowed outside.
Reactive. Teddy has demonstrated aggression at times when caught by surprise. He needs verbal commands and not quick reactions. Example: command OFF if Teddy had something in his mouth that wasn't his. (Rather than chasing him to get it from him and no command.)
Ideal home:
A quiet and less busy household (little surprises and less opportunity to snatch food) that is willing to give Teddy regular exercise.
