My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Bess is three and 1/2 years old and weighs 7 pounds. She is healthy, sweet, and gets along well with other small dogs. She is fully vetted (spayed, rabies, DHPP, Heartworm/Lyme negative), and microchipped. She is trained to a dog door, but please assume you will need to start at the beginning with house training. She is not fostered with cats.

Her adoption fee is $300, and applicants should live within three hours of Blacksburg, VA (unless you are a previous adopter). MTAR will not ship or transport animals, you must pick up in person. Preference will be given to local applicants with fenced-in yards who are familiar with the breed.
