My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

ANGEL is 2 years old, 6.5#. She is bonded to her sister Grace. Their adoption fee is $495 and includes all vetting (neuter/spay, dental cleaning, immunizations, microchip and chip registration).  A Vet reference, personal references, and home visit are required for adoption. You may apply to adopt Angel & Grace by going to our website at www.unitedyorkierescue.org and completing the adoption application located on our home page.

UPDATED BIO 10/22/2017: Meet the dynamic duo of United Yorkie Rescue! Grace and Angel have been waiting four (4) months for the perfect home that they can call their own. These two are so much alike that they are almost identical twins. They do everything together and often sleep piled on top of each other (don’t all sisters do that?). They absolutely love to be with their human(s), and will follow them all around the house.

They get along very well with other dogs and cats; however, the perfect home for them would have no other animals to share their affection. They would do better in a single person home, because they seem to bond with one person. They do okay with the other humans, but they prefer to be with their bonded human. They are crate-trained, but would much prefer to sleep in a warm, cozy bed with their human(s). They need some positive reinforcement and consistency on leash-training and house-training, but are young and smart and should pick it up quickly.

NOTE: Even though Grace and Angel get along okay with children, they would do best in a calm and quiet environment with adults only. Their adoptive parent(s) will need to have to have a lot of time to spend with them, because they love to be able to sit on your lap, and if not on your lap, sitting close enough to always be touching you. If you want companions that will love and adore you, then look no further. If you think your family would be a great fit, please fill out an application and let’s see.

UPDATED BIO 07/31/2017: Angel and Grace here. We don’t understand why we haven’t been snatched up yet by an adopter, even though foster mom says we are two of the coolest dogs she has ever fostered! Foster mom says our pictures just don’t do us any justice, and we’d have to agree. We can’t help it we’re camera shy - okay, maybe a little bit chicken - whenever we see a camera pointed our way, but it’s just that we’ve never seen one before.

Foster mom says you might wonder why we keep being called “we”. Here’s why. My sister and I are almost identical twins. We do everything together and often sleep piled onto each other (don’t all sisters do that?). We love, love, love our human and we like to follow her around everywhere. Foster mom says we would bond very rapidly with anyone who adopts us.

Note from Foster Mom: If you have a quiet home and are looking to adopt two dogs (these two are bonded and need to be adopted together) who will love and adore you, then fill out an application and we’ll see if you’re a good match. You will need to have to have a lot of time to spend with them, because they love to be able to sit on your lap, and if not on your lap, sitting close enough to always be touching you.

UPDATED BIO 06/30/2017: What could possibly be cuter than a yorkie mix with an adorable personality? Here's what - TWO yorkie mixes with adorable personalities! Angel and Grace are a bonded pair and thought to be siblings. They are both about 2 years old and both as sweet as candy, and both appear to have the same precious personalities.

After a visit to the dogtor, they are now current on their vaccinations and appear to be in excellent health. They also had a spa day and couldn’t be any cuter. They will both be getting spay and dentals soon and then they will be ready for their forever home. Because these two are a bonded pair, they will need to be adopted together.

What we know so far about Angel and Grace is that they ride in the car very well while in a crate. They both love to snuggle and be with their human all day, and will bond almost as soon as they are in your arms. They love sleeping in bed with their human, and will need to be allowed to do so. These sweet girls will quickly take over their owner's lap and affection, as well as the couch. These needy little princesses will likely push any other animals out of the picture in no time. Because of this, Foster Mom strongly feels that Angel & Grace need to be the only dogs in the home.

PLEASE NOTE: Because of their small size they will need to be adopted with a family with children over 12 years old.

Initial bio 6-27-17 Angel just arrived at her foster home today with her sister Grace. We know very little about her except Angel and her sister Grace seem very attached to each other. Please come back soon for more information and pictures of Angel.
