NIKA needs a home! Location: St. Louis, Missouri.

Foster mama says I am a true lap cat. I also get along great with other cats and love to play with a feather toy.

My name is Nika, and I am grateful to be alive.

Even though I am such and outgoing, sweet cat, I was living in a feral colony. All I wanted was to come indoors. My caretaker noticed I was crying in pain whenever I ate. All us cats were also in danger from a man threatening to shoot us. Thankfully, a rescue took me in. It turned out that I had a severe throat infection, as well as stomatitis. I got all my teeth pulled, but my mouth still caused me a great deal of pain. MY vet did x-rays and found root fragments, which she removed. Then she put me on a course of special medications that healed me so that I am finally free of pain. I need to eat limited-ingredient cat food to keep my symptoms in check.

Is there a special person out there looking for a cat as sweet as me? I need someone who keep me on the right food. I promise to purr in gratitude and keep you warm at night. I’d really love to finally know what it is like to have my own human. Will you show me?
