Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Sonya is an 8 year old FDSB (Field Dog Stud Book) Red Setter, very similar to an Irish Setter. She was owned by a 96 year old man in Southern Illinois and kept as an outdoor dog and used only for hunting. He never cared to give her a name- so we are calling her Red Sonya after the IBR adopter who is sponsoring her care. Due to her neglect, Sonya is heartworm positive and has some other health issues we need to follow up on . She is safe in foster care and we will update her progress soon.
