My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Daisy is a 6 year old shepherd/hound mix. She is full grown at 42 lbs and is the sweetest dog you will ever meet. She loves adults, children (she is wonderful with my 2 & 3 yr olds), cats and is well socialized with other dogs (except large pure bred German shepherds due to a doggie daycare incident in the distant past). Although Daisy is a medium sized dog she tends to think she can fit on your lap for snuggles. She loves being close to the action and included.
I am heartbroken to give her up. She has been within the family since I rescued her from a shelter in Massachusetts. After I moved to Illinois I met my husband who is allergic. He was a trooper and tried her living with us for over a year but he started to need his rescue inhaler daily. Fortunately, his father was able to take her in which was a wonderful blessing since he was only down the street from us. Unfortunately, my father-in-law is no longer able to care for her and it is with a heavy heart that we are trying to find her a new forever home.
Daisy is up to date with all shots, she has been microchipped, she is spayed, potty trained and we will supply the next couple of months of Frontline and interceptor. Her next round of shots are due in January. We will even hand over her things which include: bed, nylabone, ferminator brush, ferminator shampoo (she is quite the shedder), thunder leash and her dog crate.
Before you contact us we want you to know that Daisy's only negative is that she is a runner. If she gets loose she will make a run for it. Fortunately, because she is sweet we have had good luck with her running up and being caught by the nearest neighbor outside. I strongly suggest that you have a fenced in area to avoid a runaway situation.
