My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Sweet Elsie was adopted from our rescue in 2013. Her owner surrendered back to our rescue after her boyfriend decided he didn't want to share the attention. She is approximately 5-7 years and 16 lbs. She has a very silky coat which has been trimmed for summer. We have her as a miniature Schnauzer mix but she look more like a maltese/poodle mix. She had her teeth cleaned and is spayed and up to date on all shots. She is just a precious little girl, quiet, a little shy at first but warms up quickly. She LOVES to be petted, and she will reach her paw gently towards you when you stop!!! She is house and leash trained, she gets along great with the other dogs and will play a little and she would like a home with older children and someone around to give her lots of love.shots. We had treated her for heartworm in 2013 and she remains clear. She has met cats and is not interested in them, she has not lived with them, but seems like she is ok.

The total adoption donation of $525 and includes the required interstate health certificate and transport , spay/neuter, shots including rabies, bordatella, parvo, lepto, distemper and canine influenza, and micro chip with a lifetime pre paid registration. The total amount is payable to Shaggy Dog Rescue which is a 501c3. Some of our dogs are still in TX in foster care.
