Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Athena is a “special needs” kittiy. Athena is female. She tested slightly positive for FIV so she requires a “Special Home” to insure her continued good health.
With FIV a cats immune system is weakened. They cannot fend off infectious diseases like normal cats with a fully functional, immune system. FIV cannot be spread to non feline animals or humans.
Athena is from a family of 8 kittens who we were fortunate enough to receive along with their mother some time ago. Her date of birth is approximately April 7, 2017. The babies were nursing on arrival. The kittens were found in a trailer court by a very kind 80 year old lady in Marshall, MO. The lady works for our Vet in Marshall who contacted us about taking the kittens. To further our good fortune, the local shelter could not take them due to overpopulation and would likely have euthanized them.
Athena is presently living very comfortably with one of our foster’s in Sedalia, Mo. She is adoptable now. She has been fully vet’d and ready to be received by their new family and their “forever home”.
Athena is loving, cuddling and playful. She has been around other mature cats, which has added to her kitty education and assuredness.
During the veting process she was tested for disease, begin their series of kitty shots, been spayed or neutered and micro chipped for identification.
Athena is now at the stage where she plays hard with each the other foster kitties and their toys. She is very curious and understands using the litter box. She has a great appetite and enjoys wet and dry food.
Athena is a very fine kitty and would be a wonderful addition(s) to your family and loyal cat companions.
