Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Jackie, aka Star, is a sweet 1 year old, 6lb, chi/terrier mix who loves life and her new found freedom. She spent her formative years in a crate but she has been discovering a whole new world. She is very gentle and loving and a little on the timid side, but once she is comfortable with you she is a great cuddler. She would do great with a caring family who will understand her background and help her continue to blossom. She does great with respectful children of 8 years and above and LOVES to play with other small dogs. She sleeps in her kennel at night and kennels for short periods of time if foster mom is out. She is housebroken, working on leash training, micro chipped, spayed and current on vaccinations.
(An adoption donation of $300 is required.) If you are interested in this dog, please go to the Adopt page of our website where you will find a link to an adoption application form https://www.chewdogrescue.org/index.php/adopt. If you have previously submitted an application form, there is no need to re-apply. Just let us know you're interested in this dog. We do our best to match families and dogs so everyone is pleased and the placement is permanent. We reserve the right to refuse an applicant if the home situation is incompatible with the needs of the rescue dog. Rescue is about doing our best for the dog. We do home and reference checks. All of our dogs are spayed/neutered, microchipped, and are up to date with current vaccinations, before being placed in their forever homes.
