My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

MEET BERNIE!

His foster mom says Bernie is one of the SWEETEST dogs you'll ever meet. He is warm and friendly to all he meets ... even the 1%!

This adorable boxer mix (boxer mixed with pug maybe?) started his life as an outdoor chained pup in South Carolina but is now totally acclimated to home life. He is house trained and does perfectly in his crate. He knows basic commands like sit and paw and is currently learning the place command. He LOVES other dogs and can play for hours! He LOVES his walks and hikes and is not a puller on the leash.

Bernie does has a bit of a prey drive and should not be a home with cats or other small animals (rabbits, rodents, etc). Bernie requires a fenced in yard as he can be a bit of an escape artist.

Bernie's ideal home would be one that is loving, caring and committed to him for life (we promised him that!) and one that will give him daily sufficient exercise. It would be great if there were another dog or dogs for him to play with. Adult only or with kids over 10.

Bernie is about a year old and weighs about 45 lbs. He is utd on his shots and is neutered.
