My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

~compassionate adoption fee applies, email caarescue@gmail.com if serious about adoption~
My name is Sir Carlo the Senior or just Carlo for short … well that is what it is now because I was found stray by the Montreal SPCA and after my stray hold was up and no one came to claim me they decided to name me Carlo and I guess the name just stuck with me as I joined CAA Rescue in Foster Care. The SPCA Montreal is filled with kind people but a cage all day for a senior doggie like myself is just not a good place to be for very long.
When my foster mom heard that I needed a place to rest my bones until I could find a family to adopt me she zipped right over to the Montreal SPCA and scooped me up!
I am a 13 years senior pug man looking for my true forever home
I am house trained and leash trained. Although I can’t really walk fast or long, I just casually stroll down the street pee’ing on every blade of grass and sniff all the new smells. When I get tired and feel like I can’t walk much further my foster mom puts me in my doggie stroller and we zoom through the neighborhood. I love my stroller rides and walks very much
While I am not vocal per say I am a noisy dog like typical pugs can be and I snore quite a bit. However I can be overly protective of things that I have decided are mine with respect to other animals … like beds, toys and the fridge!
I have been left alone in foster care for about 3 hours uncrated and there was no destruction or anxiety to note
I recently started chasing cats in my foster home, so better I live without them. I am both big and small dog friendly. We all get along great except for when they touch something of mine! I will growl and am ready to defend my toutou! But I only do this with the other dogs in my foster home, I have never had that reaction with people. I have met some children and they were nice but I think due to my age I would prefer a nice and quiet home with no big hustle and bustle
I do love my humans though. Humans are the bestest and I would love to spend all my time with them. When I sleep & I like sleeping A LOT I sleep in my doggie bed by myself but if you are up and about I will just stalk you from room to room.
I am blind in my right eye due to having dry eye and it never being treated, my left eye I still have sight but that will probably go eventually. CAA was kind enough to buy my eye medication so that makes my itchy dry eyes feel so much better. Due to my reduce vision it takes me a little while to become comfortable with things, especially stairs. So my new home will have to be patient and kind and occasionally willing and able to pick me up

My foster mom has this to say about me: Cuddly, smart, affectionate, stalker. Loves to be part of every activity. He is one cuddly bear and he can make grumpy faces that make you laugh. He is a picky eater. But he loves all veggies and fruits cut in small pieces. His favorite food is chicken with rice, carrots and broccoli made at home. He is easy going with everything except food and toy possession with the other dogs, his age makes him to be deserving to be considered as wisest man in the family
