Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Pretty Penny came to us because her owner's granddaughter decided she wanted kittens instead of a dog. It became quickly apparent that Penny had never had any true socialization. She had been left to do as she pleased, wandering around outside, exploring the neighborhood. At first she was absolutely terrified of entering the house but after just a few days she can be found lounging on the couch in front the air conditioner. She has never once had an accident in the house, she goes to the door to alert you that she needs to go out! She has an extremely submissive personality with people and other dogs alike, she is quick to show her belly & constantly contorts herself into a pretzel at any reproach from the other dogs.
Penny absolutely adores kids & would do wonderful in a home with older children (as she is still learning not to jump on people when she gets excited). However, she really needs a home with no cats as she has a very high prey drive & just loves to give chase to things that run. She is still a puppy (just at a year old) and needs an active home where she will get plenty of exercise, a fenced yard would be ideal.
