My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Bailey is a 3 year old 7 pound Shih Tzu Maltese mix. He is as soft as a Maltese and has a gorgeous plume of a tail. Bailey was given up by his family because he bit their 6 year old child when the child tried to pick up Bailey. Those of us in rescue understand that tiny dogs should not be handled by very young children and may become fearful of them if the child mis-handles the dog. Bailey loved the family's 8 year old daughter and slept in her bedroom every night.

We think Bailey is a great little pooch who simply needs another chance to start over and learn that he is a pet and not a toy. Bailey loves to play with the other dogs in his foster home and seems very content with all. Bailey has been groomed recently, so is clipped very short so his soft hair won't get tangled easily. He has the type of coat that feels wonderful to touch, but is high maintenance.

Bailey has been neutered, vaccinated, heartworm tested negative, microchipped and had his teeth cleaned. His adoption fee is $250.
