My story

Amaretto needs a home! Location: St. Louis, Missouri.

Imagine that you are one of 40 cats living outdoors with no shelter. The yard is covered in feces. There are no toys or clean, soft places to lie down. There is not enough food to go around, and all your kitty friends and family are sick. Many of you suffer from feline herpes, a stress-related virus. All of you are covered in fleas. You have never known safety, security, or love.

Such was the fate of Amaretto until a kind woman took her to foster. Amaretto suffers from feline herpes, but their condition is easily kept in check with stress avoidance and a medication. She also had to have all her teeth removed because of stomatitis., but now that her teeth are gone, her mouth is healthy.

Despite her initial ill health, it did not take long for Amaretto to show her loving nature. She purrs as soon as you touch her. More than anything, she wants love and affection. She loves to snuggle next to your head while nuzzling you.
