My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

August 26th: Courtesy post for the county shelter near Jamestown, CA. This shelter contacted us earlier in the week and told us they have a local dog rescue that helps them with small dogs (so they don't tend to "euthanize" the small dogs there) but nobody helping them with the medium and/or large dogs...we offered to at least post their med./lg. dogs here, as it certainly can't hurt. We also asked for better pictures and to try and "dog test" this dog with another dog there at the shelter. Their resources are very limited and if you are a dog (especially a pit bull or an older dog) and land at this particular shelter, your odds of surviving are NOT good....

By the way - we made up the name Keifer...this is how they know which dog is which, as they do not name them at this shelter: This DOG - ID#A135709

I am a male, black and white Queensland Heeler mix.

My age is unknown.

I have been at the shelter since Jul 19, 2017.
