Let me first start by introducing Chocolate Princess, who is a lively, playful girl of about 2 years of age and weighs 15 pounds with a few pounds to lose.  We think that nice morning and evening walks with a new family member would slim her down quickly and everyone would certainly benefit! Here is what Chocolate Princess might say about herself….I love to romp in the grass (as you can see from my pictures), but my very favorite thing to do is sit in my human's lap! So a little lap time and then some nice frisk walks would do me and my new owners some good don’t you think?   My human can read, watch TV or talk to other humans, but allowing me to sit on a lap when my human is sitting down is absolutely necessary to make me the happiest in life!   I like people, but my first introduction to a new person is a little cautious, then two minutes later I like to lick their hand.  My foster home has other dogs both large and small and also a cat (about my size), and I get along with them because I have to.  But to tell you the truth, I really would like to be the only critter in the household.  If I were the only dog, my house-training would go a little smoother.  Sometimes I tell my foster Mom I want to go out, but then there is so much commotion around here she sometimes forgets that I asked to go.  But I am smart and learn quickly if you'll work with me!  What am I? Well for starters I am canine and one side of my family is Dachshund and the other side I am not so sure about.  Maybe Chihuahua or MinPin?  Whatever I am I think I turned out pretty beautiful and uniquely my own attractive girl!  Her foster mom says this about Chocolate Princess: Chocolate is a charming girl but at 2 years of age, she is still puppy-like in many ways.  She likes to chew leather and loves to raid garbage cans, so take care!  She is very smart and has shown so many innovative ways to get what she wants, I am tickled by her ingenuity!  Chocolate Princess will be a wonderful companion for her humans and very happy if she is the only dog!  HHS.  PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.com

About Critter Companion Rescue- MD

About Our Rescue Group...

We are a group of dedicated rescue people who want to save as many dogs and cats from the local shelters before they are euthanized. On the average....there are only 1 out of 10 animals that get adopted from a shelter. We are dedicated to helping increase pet adoptions by offering a shelter animal a foster home to go to while awaiting an adoptive family to find them on our Petfinder website. Won't you please adopt a shelter animal? Or won't you please help us foster a shelter animal while we are looking for their perfect home? What a gift you can give a dog or cat by giving them a place to feel safe and secure....a forever home or a foster home. Won't you help us at Critter Companion Rescue give them a chance to have a life?

Our Adoption Process...

Most all our dogs are fostered in Tennessee and transport up to the Northeast or New England. Our fees start at $500 and can be higher depending on the dog and circumstances for their vetting. All fees cover the health certificate, transportation up to designated places for families to pick up their pre-adopted dog, spay/neuter, rabies, all shots, fecal and dewormings, microchip, complete vet check up and 4 way heartworm test if dogs are older than 8 months.
