ROSIE 53 lb Lab Border Collie Mix- LOVES other dogs. Playful Couch Potato
My foster mom and dad call me Rosie, and while I’m still getting used to my name, you can never call me “late” for dinner!
I am a lab mix, and the vet said she thought maybe Boxer, but all I know is that I’m smart, cute, and fun to be with. I weigh about 53 pounds, and probably fully grown. I’m heartworm negative, and on prevention; up to date on all of my vaccines, spayed, house trained, and very obedient.
At my foster home, I have two sisters, and two brothers. My “big” sister is almost as big as me, (she’s a Boxer-mix too) and we play when we’re outside. We love to I chase each other around our big, fenced-in yard. The other pups in the house are Cocker Spaniels, and I play nice with all of them. I was curious about the cats at the vet’s office, but I didn’t try to get them.
I don’t dig, and I don’t climb – I will stay in my yard. I’m also a good watch dog.
I am a little protective of my food, possibly from my time as a stray.
I “showed up” at my foster home one evening, and I did my best “good dog” impression to get a meal. I kept hanging out in the road, waiting for my previous family to come get me, when my foster parents decided that I would be safer inside the fence.
I have not been around children, in my foster, home, so we’re not sure how I would be, but their best guess is that I would do just fine.
I’m very sweet, I don’t jump up on people, and I love to give kisses. I sit and stay while my dad puts my food bowl on the floor, and I will sit at the door, or at the gate, while on-leash, and wait for you to invite me through.
When I’m not playing, I like to curl up next to you on the couch, or lay near you on the floor.
