My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Max is a very friendly, loving, smart dog. Good with kids. Our kids have outgrown Max and moved away. We got Max when he was a little pup:). He no longer get the attention he needs. He is a sweet 12 lb. dog. Max responds to his name, is house trained and understand basic commands. Max understand the commands: No, in, out, potty, stay, treat, sit(with the offer of a treat), walk, up. He also responds to your mood. He reads your face and voice tone. I remember taking a nap on the sofa and having a bad dream that I couldn't wake up from, no matter how hard I tried. I must have seemed in distress to Max, because he woke me up by licking my hand:). He is still very vibrant and active. Loves to play tug o war and fetching his ball(he looks for a treat after fetching his ball a few times). He is a social dog that gets really happy and eats or try to join in, when the family is laughing or joking around. He likes to walk upright on his two back legs for treats or just to get your attention. He will alert you if someone is at your door before they knock or ring the doorbell. Max uses his doggie door to go out to potty and sometimes he will wait in front of the doggie door for your permission to go out the door to potty, "go potty". He likes walks and tummy rubs. Although we will miss him. We want what's best for Max, to find him a good home. He's a great loyal pet.
