My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

This beautiful boy came into our rescue as an owner surrender a few months ago, and is one of those dogs that is an absolute joy to love.. He is approximately 5 years old. and about 25 lbs.
He is great with everyone, and does not meet a stranger. His favorite activity is couch sitting beside his people. He is fine with children petting him, but he is older, settled, and is not going to play with them. Bunny is not going to fetch the ball.
If you are looking for a dog to go on long hikes, or chase Frisbees in the park, he is not for you!
However, if all you want from your pet is cuddling, snuggling and sleeping in your bed, Bunny is your boy.
He has excellent house manners, is not destructive, and lets you know when he needs to go outside. I work long hours, and he uses puppy pads when I'm away. Bunny does require trips to the groomer approximately every 6 weeks and brushing to keep him beautiful!
At his vet visit, we found that Bunny was already microchipped. I contacted his original owner, thinking he was missing, but he had been given away, when she remarried, and she and the new husband had 8 dogs between the two of them. Sad story, but her loss is our gain.
We are looking for a family for Bunny that will commit to him for life, so he will never again be homeless, or feel unloved.
Bunny is neutered, microchipped, current on vaccinations, heartworm negative and on flea/ tick and heartworm prevention.
His adoption fee is $250.00.
Thank you for considering Southern Girls Pound Rescue for your next family pet.
