Ginger is a 9 year old female, lab mix(mini size). She's a perfect size, only 35 lbs, full grown with a gorgeous caramel coat.
Ginger is spunky, but also a very sweet girl who’s both playful and loving. She has the energy of a 2-3 year old dog. Although she’s active she has a lazy side too and loves napping, curled up on the sofa.
Although she’s an inside dog, Ginger loves having a fenced yard where she can relax in the sun and run around safely in. She loves laying on the back deck at her foster home, rolling in the grass but also loves lounging around on the sofa or her dog bed.
She’s very strong on leash for her size, so an active owner is best, and a person who has owned and raised dogs. Ginger can be a little stubborn when she doesn’t want to do something in particular and NEEDS an experienced dog owner. She can be a little hard headed when it’s time to go to the vet or groomer. She’s good when she meets strangers, but can get very scared at the vet when she has to get her shots and her nails clipped. Someone who’s owned multiple dogs in the past will be the best match for her.
Ginger loves zooming around outside with other dogs and loves going for walks. She loves people, plays well with other dogs, but doesn’t care for overly hyper dogs who jump on her. Her best friend, named Cross, a large male also on our site is also up for adoption. They’ve been together for years and they would be so happy to be adopted together, if possible!
She's never lived with children, so a home with kids at least 12 and up would be best. Ginger is also housebroken, spayed, current on shots.
