Captivating Carson is a funny little guy. He is a 6-year-old neutered male Shetland Sheepdog weighing in at 22#. Being a very smart and easily trained fellow, he would be terribly bored and even possibly destructive sitting alone all day in a house or backyard. Carson needs the companionship of his human counterpart and possibly the friendship of another active dog. He tends to become anxious at loud noises and tucks himself into the wheel well of a passenger car and makes himself small when being transported. So car rides are not great fun for him yet. But Carson makes his own fun. His training includes the traditional sit, down, stay etc. But the fun stuff includes spin, roll-over, speak, beg and dancing with a lazer light. He might even be a candidate for agility or freestyle (which is dancing with your dog.)
Carson cones with lots of fabulous things that are his. He has his wire kennel condo complete with pad that is his safe place when he is feeling overwhelmed by life. (After all, he is a Sheltie!) Also his grain-free kibble, his bowls, toys and his Thundershirt. Carson is freshly groomed and his teeth are sparkling white from a recent dental. His vaccines are on board and he is microchipped as well. He is now ready to rock and roll. Applications first, please.
We will be looking for just the right match for Carson. Sheltie experience is a must. Adults who work from home or work part time will be given preference. No toddlers please. They would be too overwhelming for a small dog like he is. A secure fenced yard is critical to the safety of a Sheltie.
We have named him "captivating." You will see why when you meet him.
