My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Primrose is fostered in Martinsburg, WV through United Yorkie Rescue http://unitedyorkierescue.org.
Primrose is a 6 yr. old 7 lb. Yorkie girl who came into rescue in April 2017. This sweet girl came into rescue in extreme poor health and has been making a comeback that could be labeled a miracle.
When her foster mom picked her up in April, her entire body was covered in thick, hard, rock-like grey scales that were cracked and bleeding. Her ears were infected and her eyes were small insets with limited vision. She had a yeast infection all over her body, and on her first day, she showed signs of a neurological issue. In terrible pain, she struggled to get the rest she needed. But through all of this terrible suffering, Primrose is the sweetest, most affectionate girl fully trusted her foster mom and vet, and freely gave kisses.
Primrose, only 6 yrs. old has had a less than fair life. She survived life in a cage, and has been diagnosed with cancer. Her symptoms are stabilizing for now through the wonderful care of her foster mom and vet. Her thin skin that would break and bleed has thickened and her rapid weight loss when she first came into rescue has not only stopped, she's managed to gain back some weight. Her once cracked bleeding skin now has hair. She'll never fully get her hair back, but that's ok because she likes being a diva with sweaters and fashion statements that keep her warm.
Her grave health condition prevented her from getting a dental cleaning until June, and she's still on medication fighting infection. Primrose is so sweet and affectionate; she's had an outpouring of support from the United Yorkie Rescue volunteers, and from the UYR support network. This girl is more than deserving of being the queen of her own castle, living a comfortable life with love, warmth and compassion, and a place to call her final home. This sweet girl needs someone who understands she will need ongoing support, good health care, quality food and all the love in the world showered on her. She will need a quiet home and other furries that love and accept her, but let her go at her own pace. Small children, large dogs and expectation of playing, and long walks are not in this girls future.
