My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

10/15/17 - I'VE BEEN ADOPTED!
Adoption Fee: $250
Fostered in Louisiana
Age: 8 years
Weight: 5 lbs.

10/8/17 - I can’t lie, I've been through alot, and I have the battle scars to prove it. But through it all, I never lost my faith in people. I've lived through rainstorms (abuse), just recently caught site of the rainbow (rescued by family and brought to Yorkie Haven Rescue) and am waiting for the pot of gold at the end (an awesome family to call my own). Out of all my scars, (mental or physical), I think my broken jaw and no teeth give me the most character and represent my life the best: Past, Present and Future.

Seems my jaw was broken previously and an attempt was made to fix it, but in the end, the wire used to try to hold my jaw together came out and was piercing through the bottom of my jaw causing an abscess and was infected rather bad. And then my jaw crumbled some more. Well, the teeth that I did have all had to come out because of all the infection and even though my jaw that was dissentergrating could not be put back together, it has healed as much as it will, doesn’t hurt me any longer and makes my lip hang down oh so cutely on one side and my tongue stick out. Seriously, how can anyone resist that? I eat soft food mixed with water in a shallow square container, but you can’t forget the towel underneath it since I do seem to flick some of my food out of the bowl when trying to get every little pieced with my tongue. Don’t worry though, I am a very hearty eater.

Foster mom says that I really did have to be loved at some point to be the sweetheart that I am today. I’m a quiet little girl that does not meet a stranger. I love all humans I have met, as well as dogs and cats (even though I don’t play with any in my foster home, I co-exist fine). Just don’t need to be around any overly energetic dogs because of my jaw situation. I am that Yorkie that loves to jump up on the sofa and then on the back of it and look out the window. Is your sofa near a window? If not, move it! I’m sure I could you use steps or a bench to get in and out of bed too, but if those aren’t there, I will wait to be picked up and put down, because I love sleeping next to my humans.

Foster mom lets me out pretty often since my bladder is so small, but she is very proud of me since I haven’t really made any mistakes. Obviously that’s a great accomplishment in the foster dog world.

I do love being outside investigating and wagging my tail at Bree, the Boxer next door, through the fence when she is outside. We’ve become quite the buds, but then again, I do love everyone. Now I just need to find someone to love me back.

9/29/17 - BIO COMING SOON!
