Sweet J.R. He was a victim of a horrible first of his life. The man hit him often with broom handles and anything else he could put in his hands to hurt him. We have had him here since the 1st of January just to show him nothing but kindness and to let him see that there is kindness. We allowed him to take his time to be assured there is no hitting or yelling here. He has come a long way. He has to warm up to people to be comfortable. He anxiously awaits his turns to go out in the large fenced yard to play. Each time when it is time to come back in, he knows he will get a
milk bone" treat for coming in on his own and he LOVES milk bone treats. His kennel mate is Suzie who was also mistreated by the same man and woman. These two precious dogs have come a long way but I don't blame them for their fear of new people. JR deserves much more than he has had in his short life. You can tell he wants to get love and attention but he has a problem with trust.
J.R. is neutered, up to date on shots, microchipped and potty trained. He has never been anything but sweet and precious since he's been here. It breaks our heart to see how he suffered before being here. We are not sure what type terrier he is but you can se his picture. He only weighed 26 pounds after he had been here for four months and he gained a little weight. Please keep him in your prayers that some day he will get a loving home.

Our fees are based on our costs to spay/neuter, microchip, up to date on shots and heartworm test each dog. We require an adoption application that is reviewed by the board of directors for review. We are very careful who adopts our precious dogs from RUFF. We feel that they have had a tough life before they came here and we do all we can to assure a wonderful "forever" home. All of our dogs are potty trained, micro chipped, heartworm tested, spayed/neutered and up to date on shots before they are adopted. We do not allow any dog to leave our facility without these things unless there is a medical reason that they cannot (which is required by a doctor).
