My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Chestnut is a beautiful girl. She is approx 3 yrs old and 43 lbs but is underweight and becoming a healthy weight in foster care. She looks like a schnauzer /terrier mix. She is quiet and well behaved. She is a really lovely dog and seems to be quite well house trained and leash trained. She loves to sit at your feet and will follow you everywhere. She gets along with the other dogs and is just a really sweet dog. We require a house with no children under 12 years of age as she is quiet. She did test positive for heart worms and has been treated with the required series of shots and she has also been started on a monthly heart guard that all dogs should take to prevent heartworm.

The total adoption cost of $525 includes the required interstate health certificate and transport , spay/neuter, shots including rabies, bordatella, parvo, lepto, distemper and canine influenza, and micro chip with a lifetime pre paid registration . The total amount is payable to Shaggy Dog Rescue which is a 501c3. All our dogs are in foster care, there is no physical shelter. Some have not yet arrived in PA.
