Spencer is a German Shorthaired Pointer/Black Labrador Retriever Mix. He is black and white. Spencer is 2 years old. He is neutered and up to date on his shots. He weighs around 35 pounds.
Spencer is a very loving boy. Spencer is very laid back and just loves attention. He likes to walk around the house with you and give your hand little kisses just letting you know he's still around. Spencer loves his dog bed, he kicks it up with his feet and twists it into a ball making a little nest out of it. He settles down there until you call him over to the couch to join you. He'll sit with you while watching a movie, or follow you around and lay at your feet whenever your at your desk. Spencer is very good on the leash and does enjoy walks. He will look around and smell and then continue on the walk with you. He enjoys car rides, he's very curious and will stare out the window the entire ride.
Spencer would do well in any household because he loves all dogs and animals, and he loves all people and especially kids. He's playful whenever there are children around because they'll play fetch with him. He loves tennis balls, he will watch you throw it in the air, pretend he wants to catch it and then waits for it to drop to the ground. He's really good outside, he'll run a few laps around the yard and then come over to you and ask you to walk around with him. He's very laid back and loves when you give him toys to play with, he loves when you hide toys under his dog bed. He gets super excited when he makes his nest at night to find a new squeaky toy under their for him. He's hoping to have a new home for the holidays!
Spencer is not aggressive with other dogs, he has been with small, large, young and old dogs.
At the rescue we require dogs to be kept indoors. There is a $95 adoption fee for puppies, and a $85 adoption fee for Adult/Senior Dogs.
