My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Toby is an 18 yr old registered TB Bay Gelding, 16.1 HH. He has been ridden Western and English. He needs to be ridden in a snaffle. We think he prefers English. He has been through quite a few owners unfortunately, I believe this may be due to him being blind in the left eye. Dr. Sweet believes this could be from trauma and that it happened sometime ago, not a new thing. It is in the retina and the eye is not clouded over or ulcerated. You cannot tell he is blind. This does not stop Toby, he is an awesome trail horse, we have taken him camping once and he did fantastic! He loves, loves the water! He does fine in an arena, however if he is approached from the left side, sometimes he startles to the left. Toby did race and is tattooed but does not behave like an off the track horse. He is very mellow and loves hugs, loves to be groomed and loves to be doted on. Toby does need front shoes as he is tender without them, his front hooves are thin. Toby is awesome for the farrier and the vet. He does have old scarring on his hind leg from getting caught in barbed wire. This in no way affects his movement or soundness. Toby does great in a paddock or pasture and gets along with other horses. This is a very sweet, loving boy. He's healthy and current on everything. His adoption fee is $750.
