Here's what the humans have to say about me:
This sweet senior Toby is a 22 pound dachshund. He found himself without a home due to a divorce situation - beyond his control - and needs a great place to retire in his golden years. This very sweet boy is a large tweenie or small standard, and is in overall good health for his age. He is on thyroid medication twice per day which would need to be kept up by his new family, as well as occasional testing to monitor his levels. He is mostly deaf and does have some cataracts starting. Toby had a dental this week and only lost one tooth - his teeth are in surprisingly excellent condition! He also has a history of IVDD - disc disease - and should never jump or do stairs. He is so well trained that he knows how to be properly picked up and will assist you in the process.
This little guy loves to go for walks and sniff everything around him. His favorite activity is to snuggle in on the couch next to you. He does prefer to have his owner(s) all to himself, so we are recommending no other dogs or cats. Kids are OK but a quiet home would be best for him especially with his hearing loss.
