My story

Duckie is a BIG sweet boy who has a little quack of a meow. At 18 lbs, he could probably use a bit of nutrition management. As a result, he is diabetic and he requires insulin twice a day.  Duckie was found as a friendly stray has been neutered, vaccinated and microchipped. He is FIV+ - studies show FIV+ and FIV- cats can live well together without transmission. He had stomatitis (inflammation of the soft tissues of the mouth), but he just had an extensive dental and he's doing great. It can be managed by an inexpensive antibiotic. He is a gentle boy that currently lives happily with two senior citizen fosters. He would love to have his own home where he can live a comfortable indoor life.

More about this rescue

FFAF is an all volunteer foundation that seeks to enable Central Florida families to keep their beloved companion animals at home - where they belong. FFAF provides education, support and resources so that pet guardians can maintain safe, healthy and loving home environments to their companion animals. Through promoting responsible guardianship, we hope to reduce the number of animals surrendered to local shelters and rescues and to prevent countless animals from being euthanized.
