Smokey's Story...
I am Smokey a five year old Labrador mix who weighs 45 pounds. I am very sweet, mellow and laid back fellow, who's tail wags when going outside for a walk ,as I love that. Then my whole demeanor changes as i trot along , but great on a leash and don't pull. I am perfect with cats, and a little scared of dogs, but I am getting to know that they are nice also. My foster mom says I am such a good boy and I love to have a bath and dont even move when soap gets in my eyes
I am neutered with all my shots. Heart worm tested negative. Call Linda at 917 319 4304 to meet me

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Smokey, a Long Beach Lakeland Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Lakeland Terrier for sale in Long Beach, or seeking a Lakeland Terrier dog from a breeder in Long Beach.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Long Beach already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Long Beach breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Lakeland Terrier breeders who help with Lakeland Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Long Beach paves the way for another one to be saved.
