Midnight (Ninja) is a great young guy. He had been in the shelter for sometime and his days were numbered. In this stressful environment he was very scared and stayed away from people and other dogs. Because of this he was not showing well and had little interest. The great workers there saw through this however and knew behind the frightened facade was a great young dog with a loving core....... Boy were they right! On the first day he bonded with his human and furry friends alike and is now thriving. Now after a little TLC and some necessary vetting this boy is ready to make another family as happy as he has made us. We love stories like this as pulling dogs who are "unadoptable" in the shelter environment is a niche we strive to fill. In many cases once these guys are in a loving foster home their true character and nature shine through.
Midnight (Ninja) is an approx. 1 year old neutered male who weighs about 15lbs. He is great with children and other dogs. He is an active young boy who loves attention and playing outside. He comes fully vetted including his neuter, microchip, HW tested and fecal tested negative, and up to date on shots (1yr Rabies, Distemper, Bordatella). His adoption fee is $250

Happy Tails Rescue Inc. is a 501c3 non-profit foster-based rescue based in Northwest Indiana. We have no shelter, all of our animals are cared for in loving foster homes until their forever home match is found. All of our animals are fully vetted before adoption, including distemper, rabies, and bordatella vaccines, a heartworm test, fecal test, microchip, and are spayed/neutered. If you're interested in meeting one of our animals please fill out an application first. If approved we will then arrange a meet and greet. Happy Tails does not do same day adoptions because we do a short home visit to make sure our animals are being placed in safe environments.
