ADOPTION PENDING!! Hi, my name is Dooley, and I’m a 3 year old red smooth male dachshund looking for my forever home. I’m the one on the left in the picture, and my mom Isabella is on the right. I would love to be adapted to the same home as my mom; she takes great care of me! I am new to using a computer too, so I’ll let my foster Mom tell you more about me.
Dooley has been abused at some point in his short little life by a man. In spite of this he is sweet, loving and gentle. His new home will need to devote extra time and love to win over his trust. He loves women and will sit and sleep with you all day if you let him. He adores sleeping in the big bed.
His teeth came out nicely from the dental (unlike his poor Mom, Isabella's teeth) and he is just as gentle and sweet as can be about food and treats. He was so skinny you could see every bone in his body. He will leave his food if another dog approaches so I feed him and his Mother separately. He is shy about trying new foods until he learns what they are but then is very happy to get them.
He is a work in progress on his potty training. He now knows what "do good doggy" is now and if you take him out will go for you. He doesn't like the cold but loves to explore the back yard. He is very good with all the dogs here. He loves his Mother (Isabella) and will run to her for comfort if you raise your voice at any of the dogs. He also gets behind our little blind foster in her bed so he can feel protected. He needs a very gentle and loving home where he will not ever be hit again. I would love to adopt the two of them together if at all possible. Please let me know if you could adopt these special little angels. They would give you love, devotion and lots of doggy kisses. Dooley’s adoption fee is $250. Isabella & Dooley are in a foster home in Sicklerville, NJ.
