My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Sweet Linus was rescued the first time weeks ago by a wonderful Good Samaritan who was traveling through the south. They saw Linus running loose at a busy interstate rest stop with no collar, no harness, no leash or tags or any identitying information. They could not allow this sweet boy to linger alone and get hit by a car. He had fleas and was in need of care so after asking everyone at the rest stop and posting their contact information they took Linus home with them. They had his immunizations completed, got rid of his fleas, groomed him and cared for skin issues. They tried desperately to find his owners by having him scanned for a microchip, calling shelters to see if anyone was looking for him, posting flyers and sharing with lost dog groups on social media with no luck. They have 5 dogs of their own and could not add another furry family member so they reached out to UYR to help Linus find a Forever Home of his own.

Linus is a big Yorkie and very sweet. His finding family said he is good with other dogs, children and all people so we think he would be a great family dog. He is house-trained and well mannered though he will bark if crated for car rides. Linus just came into rescue so stay tuned as we get to know more about him.
