My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

JD is a beautiful brindle boy that is 50 pounds of pure love and happiness. We think he may be part Plott Hound and Part Pit Bull. He was born around July of 2015 and is now a little over 2 years old.

He radiates sunshine and is always smiling despite his troubled past. This boy was rescued from the mean streets with a bullet lodged in his leg, and after seven long months of surgeries and rehab, he's finally ready for his happy ending.

JD loves to give his humans hugs by wrapping his legs around them and then drowning them with kisses, and he's equally sweet with dogs of all sizes. He does not need to be in charge; in fact, he currently lives with a 6-month old Border Collie puppy who totally bosses him around, plus lots of other pushy dogs to whom he gladly defers. JD is a sweet, gentle playmate for other dogs, but is also happy to cuddle with his humans. He is fully crate trained, has perfect house manners, is great on a leash and in the car.

JD has represented Corridor Rescue at Papa John's and Kendra Scott where he has served as an ambassador for our group: he is the perfect example of giving an amazing dog a second chance, and will make his forever family an ideal companion

**This dog is with Corridor Rescue in Houston, Texas but is available for transport to most major US and Canadian cities via United Airlines PetSafe for an additional $275. A customs fee may apply at Canadian airports. Ground transportation to Colorado is available for $75, and several locations in the northeastern US for $175.

JD’s adoption fee of $200 covers neuter, microchip and current vaccines.
