My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Otter is an 11 year old, hound mix who is as sweet as they come. Otter found her way to us back in 2014 when her former musher was battling cancer and needed somewhere for her to continue running. During the past 3 years with us, we have learned that while Otter is shy with new people she is also as loyal as they come once she gets to know (and trust) you. While she may technically be a senior, this former sprint hound is still active and would love to be your outdoor adventure partner. Otter also knows when it’s time to chill and is happy to nap the day away too. Otter gets along great with other dogs but is unknown to cats (we don’t have small animals at our facility to temperament test with). Given her shy personality a home without kiddos would be best. Otter is spayed and UTD on vaccines.

Our adoption fee is $250 and covers: health certificate, microchip, bordetella, dhlpp and rabies vaccines, spay or neuter, a Ruffwear harness and use of Whistle GPS tracker for 3 months.
