Nymeria is an energetic, playful, and loving German Shepherd who absolutely loves children. She plays well with other dogs, after she gets to know them. She was rescued at approx 4 months old. When she was found, she was very sick and malnourished, w/ a collar cutting into her neck. Through a lot of love & patience, she recovered fairly quickly and is doing great now. Her initial ordeal, however, has made her a bit skittish when she first meets new dogs or people, but after a meet-and-greet, she usually feels more secure and wants to play with her new friends. She is housebroken and crate-trained. She’s had one year of obedience training, but would do better with more training and focus. She loves going for walks at least twice a day & going to the dog park. She would do best in a home with owners who understand the naturally exuberant behavior of German Shepherds & have the time and patience to care for her. A home with children is a plus, as she is used to our 4 & 8 yr old girls.
