Tonka was brought to a high kill shelter in TX when his owners got in trouble for animal cruelty/neglect. The owners were found guilty which left Tonka and another dog Joey on death row as the shelter was full and is always full. We actually pulled them the day they were going to be put to sleep after we got a message about them. Tonka is a bit timid when he first meets people. He is being fostered by an older lady that he just adores and follows her everywhere. She has said how sweet and loving he is. We think he would be suited in more of a quiet home with him being timid. He is fixed, current on all shots, micro chipped, heartworm negative and on monthly prevention. He needs to find a loving home to give him a second chance at life and in a home that he should have got to start with. He is a Jack Russell mix, maybe some Chihuahua. He is not hyper at all.
